mescaline

Mescaline is a naturally occurring psychedelic compound found in certain cacti, such as peyote, San Pedro, and Peruvian torch. It produces hallucinations, altered perception of time and space, and changes in thought patterns when ingested. Mescaline is known chemically as 3,4,5-trimethoxyphenethylamine and has been used traditionally in Native American spiritual ceremonies.
