Rostov-on-Don (Russian: Ростов-на-Дону) is a city in southwestern Russia, located on the Don River near its mouth into the Sea of Azov. It serves as the administrative center of Rostov Oblast and is an important cultural, industrial, and transport hub in the southern part of the country.
